OPPORTUNITY:
We are looking for an Aerospace-experienced Software Test Engineer for a six (6) month contract-to-hire (CTH) role onsite in Bellevue, WA.
PAY RATE:
- $70-$100 per hour
OVERVIEW:
Software Test Engineer with strong experience in FAA certification processes, particularly DO 178C. This engineer will support verification activities across the full software development lifecycle and ensure deliverables meet certification compliance requirements.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Perform requirements-based testing for safety critical avionics software.
- Develop test plans, procedures, scripts, and reports.
- Conduct structural coverage analysis.
- Ensure end to end traceability across requirements, tests, and results.
- Support audits and certification reviews with DERs.
- Collaborate closely with systems, software, and quality engineering teams.
- Utilize tools such as DOORS.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Three (3) plus years experience in aerospace or safety critical software testing.
- Strong knowledge of DO 178C.
- Experience with automated test tools or scripting languages.
- Familiarity with systems requirements (ARP4754A) and safety requirements (ARP4761) is a plus.
- Strong documentation and communication skills.
