We are looking for a Senior AWS Data Engineer for a six (6) month remote contract role in CA (working EST hours).



  • Develop new data pipelines using existing ETL tools.
  • Manage existing data pipelines, troubleshoot, diagnose, and correct job failures, manage data security and integrity.
  • Work with business stakeholders, data scientists, and data analysts to assist with data-related technical issues and support their infrastructure needs.
  • Handle complex projects/assignments and help execute the strategy for data development and data visualization under limited direction from management.
  • Research and build POC of leading-edge/future technology solutions.



  • Five (5) plus years of experience in data development or equivalent technical environment with emphasis on data analytics while working with large data volumes.
  • Proficient in services such as Amazon Redshift, Lambda and Glue.
  • Familiarity with continuous integration tools such as Jenkins and automation tools such as Apache Airflow.
  • Proficient in writing SQL, ETL design patterns, data warehousing concepts and database technologies.
  • Exceptional analytical and knowledge sharing skills with ability to create user-friendly documentation and instructions.
  • Prior experience in one of the programming languages such as Python, Scala or Java.
  • Demonstrates key competencies such as tech savviness, collaboration and nimble learning.
  • You will be expected to work Eastern Standard Time (EST) hours.
  • Candidates MUST be authorized to work in the U.S. and able to go W2.
