OPPORTUNITY:

We are looking for a Product Manager - Epic Willow Ambulatory for a full time permanent hybrid role in Yonkers, NY.

*Candidates local to NY, NJ, CT, or PA are highly encouraged to apply* Onsite requirements will be an average of once a month on location but could be more due to go lives, training, mandatory meetings, etc.

**Successful candidates must be legally authorized to work in the US and able to go W2**

 

SALARY:

  • $106K - $141,350K

 

OVERVIEW:

We are seeking a Product Manager for the Pharmacy Technical & Financial Systems team. In this role, you will be responsible for the design and delivery of Epic-centered product solutions and ensuring that the product meets the needs of the client. The Product Manager develops project work plans, work breakdown structures, schedules and ensures projects are consistent with the overall client objectives and strategic plans. The Product Manager provides expert knowledge of the business or clinical function being supported and provides perspective on common challenges and strategies for success. The Product Manager motivates, guides, and leads an implementation team. The Product Manager develops and maintains strong working relationships with key stakeholders and communicates regularly with clients.

We are embarking on a project to implement Epic’s Willow Ambulatory module. The Product Manager will be responsible for the design of the solution, conversion from legacy system, project planning, resource management, and the overall health of the implementation.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Oversight of the Epic Willow Inventory and Epic Willow Ambulatory modules, as well as Willow inpatient billing functions.
  • Oversight of multiple non-Epic systems, including, but not limited to Pyxis, Logistics, DoseEdge, Apoteca, and Sentry 340b.
  • Manage and oversee a team of multiple analysts to coordinate system changes.
  • Routinely work across multiple product teams to develop system wide solutions.
  • Organize and allocate resources appropriately to meet deliverables in a timely fashion.
  • Regularly collaborate with operational leadership to identify issues and formulate strategies for improving system processes.
  • Plan and manage the implementation of Epic solutions and other pharmacy systems.
  • Delegate tasks to staff in an efficient manner while providing continual guidance and support.
  • Oversee analysis of necessary application modifications and work with the appropriate IT associate or the vendor to coordinate the modification.
  • Proactively monitor the application(s) to recommend improvements and ways to increase efficiency.
  • Provide timely, effective, and professional customer support on a 24x7 rotating basis.
  • Work with the help desk and support personnel on escalated issues to identify problems and resolve them. Triage network, hardware, or workstation issues as required.
  • Act as a liaison to the vendor for IT or the client.
  • Manage vendor communications needed for support, issue resolution and escalation.
  • Coordinate vendor activities including hardware or software installation.
  • Utilize strong client liaison skills in developing working relationships with clients.
  • Work with clients to develop sound business improvements.
  • Meet with or speak with users regularly to discuss open requests, current needs, and any outstanding issues.
  • Act as the interface between the client (departmental users) and the client’s IT departments.
  • Performs other related duties as required.

 

REQUIREMENTS:

  • RPh or PharmD license.
  • Solution and IT architectural design experience.
  • Eight (8) plus years of related clinical or business experience.
  • A minimum of five (5) years managing projects in a healthcare setting.
  • Pharmacy background required, particularly experience in the retail pharmacy setting.
  • Pharmacy inventory management experience.
  • Pharmacy finance experience (e.g. medication billing, 340b expertise).
  • User and vendor management experience.
  • Strong desktop skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Product implementation experience.
  • Experience managing an implementation team.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with people at all levels in the organization.
  • Ability to motivate and coach team members.
  • Ability to match team member skills to team responsibilities.
  • Critical thinking skills.
  • Strong presentation skills to senior management stakeholders.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with customers, vendors, peers, and management.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • The Product Manager must attend Epic training and meet all requirements for certification.
