OPPORTUNITY:

We are looking for an Epic Team Lead for a permanent hybrid position in New York, NY.

**Two (2) days onsite, higher level management/directors are three (3) days onsite.**

 

SALARY:  $145K - $160K

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • The Team Lead is responsible for expert knowledge of their assigned IT solutions and software functionality.
  • They will be accountable to their Manager/Director for completion of deliverables, will represent the team when working with clinical and operational leadership, and will serve as an expert resource to their team and the IT organization for projects and technologies.
  • The Team Lead will also provide guidance to team members and actively develop the knowledge and skills set of the team.
  • The Team Lead contributes to the strategic direction, guidance, and integration of products and services for their assigned application(s).
  • This role forms and maintains collaborative relationships both internally within the IT department and externally with business leaders.
  • Expert knowledge of assigned Epic applications and third-party vendors related to all patient access applications.
  • Assists Manager and Director in managing the scope, cost, milestones, and success of assigned applications and projects.
  • Certified in one or more Epic applications.
  • Develop and champion new ideas that add value to the organization.
  • Research best practices and implementations.
  • Provide guidance to teams, users, and leadership on all technologies, configurations and workflows.
  • Collaborate with other Leads and Project managers to ensure processes and technical solutions are effectively integrated.
  • Provide oversight of on-site support activities during go-lives.
  • Proactively seeks opportunities to educate teams on HSS applications and health information technology.
  • Significant process design experience.
  • Actively work on all aspects of Grand Central, Prelude, Cadence, and Welcome implementations through the maintenance stage, including but not limited to analysis, design, build, quality testing, data collection and reporting, ongoing maintenance, upgrades, and all other support activities.

 

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s Degree, Required.
  • Certified in multiple Epic applications, Required.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills and the ability to forge and maintain strong professional relationships.
  • Strong analytical skills and experience implementing applications.
  • Strong interpersonal relationship skills.
  • Significant process design experience.
  • Demonstrated ability in adherence to process standards around documentation and workflow design.
  • Project management skills including, but not limited to the ability to lead meetings, prioritize, resolve conflicts, maintain issues list, and manage project plans.
  • Strong skills in research and analysis.
  • Driven to expand on current healthcare IT knowledge and expertise.
  • Self-motivated, detail-oriented and pragmatic; a great team player who is analytical and solution focused.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications including, but not limited to Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Flexibility to work an expanded work schedule, including early mornings, nights and possibly weekends during major implementation and support efforts.
  • Successful candidates will be required to obtain/maintain Epic Certification(s) essential to their job responsibilities.
  • Candidates MUST be authorized to work in the US and be able to go W2.

 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Epic Prelude, Grand Central, Cadence, or Welcome certification(s) strongly preferred.
  • Three (3) plus years working in a physician or revenue cycle environment.
  • Prior experience implementing, teaching, and supporting users with new applications and/or Epic in an ambulatory or hospital environment is preferred.
  • Cross-application integration experience is highly desired.
  • Assessment and change management/transformation experience preferred.
