OPPORTUNITY:

 

We are looking for an Epic Client Systems Manager Administrator for a 7+ month remote contract opportunity.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

  • The ECSA is a critical, hands-on role, installs and administers Epic Web and Service Servers including MyChart and Carelink. They manage the configuration, deployment, proactive monitoring and maintenance of Epic Client Systems Infrastructure.
  • Epic Client Systems Administrator (ECSA) managing WSS applications including; Web BLOB, Interconnect, Rover, Haiku, Canto, Welcome, Care Everywhere, FIPS, ARR, IVR, MyChart, & CareLink.
  • Applying Epic & Platform upgrades and updates to production and non-production WSS Servers.
  • Design, install and implement high availability solutions.
  • Responsible for capacity planning and performance management of critical servers and applications.
  • Manage the load configuration and make recommendations for purchase or upgrade of hardware as well as the tuning of software.
  • Design solutions to optimize system performance.
  • Coordinate with other teams on the maintenance and integrity of system interfaces.
  • Expand technical knowledge and stay abreast of vendor offerings.
  • Create and maintain system documentation for specifications, designs, procedures, and logs.
  • Document all processes, system changes/fixes, and issues.
  • Provide customer support, 24x7, for system related issues. Work with other associates on escalated issues to identify problems and resolve them.
  • Possess strong knowledge of the business or clinical functions and how they are applied to the system.
  • Troubleshoot the system as an expert to identify any possible faults or potential issues.
  • Design, build, and support directory services, desktop/mobile email, and/or network operating systems in an Internet protocol environment.
  • Running on the servers.
  • Install and test new applications and upgrades.
  • Provide application performance monitoring and tuning.
  • Assist in application problem resolutions.
  • Design, build and maintain system interfaces. Support real-time and batch interfaces with internal and external systems and vendors.
  • Design, build, and support directory services, desktop/mobile email, and/or network operating systems in an Internet protocol environment.
  • Monitoring network and Web server activity for security breaches using intrusion detection techniques.
  • Performing file system management.
  • Installing and managing the application deployment platforms that serve production, reporting, disaster recovery, training, and non-production needs.
  • Installing and maintaining administrative and monitoring tools necessary for high levels of availability and performance of your Epic system.
  • Understanding performance metrics, monitoring system performance, and troubleshooting issues.
  • Assisting in the configuration and troubleshooting of integrated third-party software and peripherals.
  • Applying platform and Epic upgrades and updates to production and non-production Web server components.
  • Responding to emergency and after-hours issues.
  • Engaging in capacity planning exercises to ensure adequate system resources.
  • Collaborating with your technical teams and Epic to ensure proactive support.
  • Writing and maintaining scripts to improve system management tasks.
  • Participating in your change control process for all planned application and technical activities.
  • Maintaining and testing processes related to business continuity.

 

REQUIREMENTS:

 

  • Expertise as an Epic Client Systems Administrator (5 Years’ experience)- Required
  • Microsoft Windows System Administration (8 Years’ experience)- Required
  • EPIC Client Systems Certification- Highly desired
  • Bachelor's Degree or Relevant Work Experience- Required
